Goodbye Blue Skies itching to release debut album ‘Motives’

The band knocked out a professional batch of songs with seasoned producer Josh Schroeder (Battlecross, King 810, The Color Morale), played the Ernie Ball Stage at the 2012 Vans Warped Tour stop at The Palace of Auburn Hills and saw its music video for “Babyface Nelson” get on the BlankTV and BryanStars YouTube channels.
“We saved up a bunch of money to go to a really nice studio and get a really great product done, and we wrote the best songs that we could possibly write for that time and we felt like ‘This is it. This is going to carry us to the next level,’” Goodbye Blue Skies guitarist and vocalist Chris Marshall said. “And then when it didn’t happen that way—and not saying that it was a complete failure—it just took a lot longer because we didn’t have the certain elements to actually push the record like we wanted to.”Despite the positive buzz surrounding “Visions,” though, the EP didn’t deliver the type of breakthrough the band was hoping for.
